Danielle and her team are the best. Hope to work with them again soon.
Our experience was fantastic. Nathan, Evan and our agent Sheree Dailey were fantastic.
We had a very laborious and stressful time working with your company. On many occasions throughout this process we had to provide information, followup and resend. Felicia G. did not give us confidence in her performance. Our closing date was moved from 3/3 to 3/11 and then to 3/20. One delay after another, then another due to miss management and requesting bank information that was not necessary. The lack of clarity and foresight almost caused us to loose our deposit. If it wasn't due to the constant follow-up on our end and my contacting the VA I DONT REALY THINK THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED. fortunately the VA was kind enough to put a priority on our case so that we did not fail. Even up to the last minutes before signing there were still errors and running around. Joshua was very nice and professional. He provided us support and re assured us that this would be an easy process, but unfortunately it was not.....our realtor was even very frustrated with the lack of organization and having to repeatedly send the same information to Felicia G. An awful experience and would not recommend for anyone to go through that!!
Response from Veterans United
Hi Richard,
I’m really sorry to hear how stressful and drawn out this experience was for you. Repeated requests for the same information, lack of clear communication, and multiple closing delays can quickly turn what should be an exciting process into a frustrating one, and I understand how concerning it must have been with your deposit at risk.
You should have been able to rely on better organization, clearer guidance, and more proactive support throughout. I do appreciate you recognizing Joshua’s efforts, but it’s clear we fell short in delivering a consistent experience from start to finish.
I’d really like the opportunity to take a closer look at what happened and better understand where things broke down. If you’re open to it, please reach out to me at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com so we can review your experience together.
Our team is available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday, and we’ll follow up as soon as possible if you reach out outside those hours.
Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager
Working with Brice at Veterans United was an absolute blessing. As a first-time homebuyer navigating this journey on my own after divorce, I was honestly nervous about the process—but Brice made everything feel manageable and even exciting. He was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, patient, and truly a steady guide through every step. What stood out most was how attentive and supportive he was—not just with me, but with making sure my daughter and I felt confident and cared for the entire way. Thanks to Brice, we’re now in our beautiful new home, living the American dream once again. If you're looking for a lender who is organized, trustworthy, and genuinely invested in your success, I can't recommend Veterans United—or Brice—highly enough!
Overall, I appreciate the work everyone did to help put me in my dream house. But the experience was far from 'great'.Communication was absolutely terrible. The first 2 weeks of the process, I called every single day and did not receive a call back until almost exactly 14 days from my first call attempt. This trend mostly continued until about 2 weeks from closing. It definitely got better towards to end (with Josh and Connor, anyways). Twice i requested a call from Eric and never received those calls period. The documentation requests coming in 3 days before close was inexcusable. Retrieving W2's from past employers is not a simple process, especially when on of the buyers works for the government. I understand mistakes happen, but we were in underwriting for almost 40 days, that was ample time for review. And when my realtor, the sellers realtor, and I expressed concerns about this, we were told 'it wasnt a big deal' then immediately after I was told closing may have to be pushed to the following week if we didnt get clear to close the following day (the DAY before closing). That was not an option as my family of 4 had no where to go if we weren't able to close on Friday.Overall, I do appreciate the work that went into this purchase, but the communication has to improve in the future for me to use or recommend VU again, as well as timely review and processing of documents. For what its worth, everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions when asked.
Response from Veterans United
Hi John,
Thank you for sharing such a detailed review, and I’m really glad we could help you get into your dream home. That said, I’m sorry the experience didn’t feel as smooth or supportive as it should have, especially when it came to communication.
Not receiving callbacks early on and having to follow up repeatedly would be incredibly frustrating. I also understand how stressful those last-minute document requests and the uncertainty around your closing timeline must have been, especially with your family depending on that date. You deserved clearer expectations and more proactive updates throughout the process.
I do appreciate you recognizing the efforts of Josh and Connor and the knowledge of the team, but it’s clear we fell short in consistency and timing, and that matters.
If you’re open to it, I’d really like to learn more about your experience and take a closer look at what happened. You can reach me at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com so we can talk through everything together.

I did not like that I found errors on the closing documents twice. I just do not believe that I should’ve had that burden. I found those and they were corrected immediately. I did like the ease of the uploads for documentation.
Everybody on this team was amazing. I was by my first house. I would call after I got off work would be cooking dinner and speaking to the team while asking dumb questions. Veterans United has been a delightful team. Thank you all for all you do.

Veteran's United was so helpful with our entire move from the loan and insurance to the realtor and movers. Then once we were moved in we received a very cute package from Veteran's United for our cats and dogs. Thank you for caring!
I was very impressed with the team. They answered my every question and problem. Special shout out to Matt and Vince!
Working with Reed and the Team at Veterans United was exciting and a delight to have a group of top-notch professionals working toward one common goal-our homeownership.Never were there days of frustration or uncertainty working with this amazing team, who often anticipated our needs with a ready solution and found everyone always attentive providing excellent customer service with each interaction. The Veterans United Team was Magnificent! Thanks again for assisting us becoming homeowners.
Second home purchase with Chris and his team and it was as seamless as the first. I’m retired now so this should be the last home purchase but would definitely come back to VU again.
Juliana, Tara, Katie, and Lliam were awesome and very helpful through out the entire process. They are all very responsive and willing to meet your needs!

About month ago I was dreaming of buying a home for me and my wife. Veterans United Mr. Lance reached out to me and I closed on our new home March 20th was a dream come true for my wife and myself. I would highly recommend this fine group of people for anyone looking to buy a new home. I would like to say thank you to everyone at Veterans United.
Shelby and the team took care of us from day one through closing and beyond
The ONLY critique I have is not necessarily with Veterans United or Andy but the communication process from the title company.Andy, the day before my closing sent clear instructions that stated the amount I needed to bring to closing. The instructions stated I could bring a cashiers check or wire the money. I opted, since it was faster for me to do so, for a cashiers check. When I got to the title company to do the closing, they informed me that they did NOT accept cashiers checks. I had to do a bit of scrambling to get to my bank, stop the cashiers check and send money as a wire transfer.Up to that point, I could not have been happier with Andy, his team, and Veterans United.Thank you for a smooth process and making my home buying experience easy!
All I can say, is that if you’re lucky enough to get Mike on your team, your experience will be even better. Veterans United Home Loans is seriously the best loan company to go through and they really have your back. They answer your questions and don’t abandon you when you’ve locked in a home and are closing or in that process. They’re supportive and answer all questions quickly and take care of a LOT of things on their end to make your life easier. I will always recommend. Thank you for helping me obtain my forever home, because I’m so tired of moving constantly and so is my family. You gave us that peace.
