1. Should have informed me that there was such a thing as a 1 time rate reduction if the rates dropped before our final close. I would have at least like to know it was an option for a small fee to reduce my risk. Don't know how far the rates fell because I can not see the VA Jumbo rate. Would be nice in these tough times to have the opportunity now and in the future with a rare reduction to refinance.
Jamie has got to be the best in the business! If she isn’t then I would love to meet the loan officer that can work magic better than she can. I almost feel bad for those who don’t get the pleasure of working with her. She was dedicated to answering tons of questions we had for our first time home buying process and was available outside of normal operating hours to include holidays and weekends. She always responded to calls, texts, and emails without delay throughout the whole process. Words cannot express enough my family’s level of appreciation and how thankful we are for her. Thank you so very much Jamie!!
It was such a pleasure working with Jamie and Veterans United! Jamie was always so kind and helpful whenever we had questions, and was so easy to communicate with. This was our first time buying a home, and she made the daunting task more than manageable. We are so appreciative of Jamie and all of her efforts to help us find our first home!
I would complete my "mic time" by showing the most respect and appreciation to Jamie and Howard.. they made my time with this ownership a stress low , detail oriented backing I would never ask for anyone else on my side to assist me with all my questions and times of unsureity. They made my experience and goal a pleasant and fun experience. Mahalo from the Heart for being there for me!
The home buying process can be daunting and overwhelming, but Brad Mendoza and his team at Veteran’s United Home Loans made the process easy to understand. From day one of the loan process, Brad walked us through step by step of the home loan process, answered all questions, gave us updates on the process and ensured we received the best rate. I would highly recommend Brad Mendoza and his team here in the island of Oahu, Hawaii to any veteran that is looking to purchase a home.

My experience with Veterans United was going well, untill the appraisal phase. In an effort to assist Veterans in this phase, Veterans United contacts the appraisal company. As a result, the appraiser documented the road allowing the property easement access as private. This report caused an extended delay in closing. As I was in a rate lock, it had to be extended several times until the road access was resolved. This delay caused me to pay thousands of dollars in closing costs that were not anticipated. Had I not the funds to close, I would have lost my opportunity to receive approval from the VA for the loan. I was extremely disappointed when told that Veterans Untied would not provide any financial assistance for this delay, and rate lock extension fees. In the end, it was discovered that the access road was identified as public in other Veterans United mortgage closings. An addendum by the appraiser to his report, allowed the loan to go to closing. VA loans are a benifit that allows for little or no money down to buy a home. In my case, I felt the closing costs were excessive for a VA loan. Thank you for the opportunity to speak frankly about my experience with Veterans United.
Weiwei and the team were low pressure and excellent. Weiwei helped me secure an interest rate before they went up and was always responsive. She did an excellent job. Kristy and Pat were excellent. Friendly and posted importance deadlines immediately which ultimately saved me money. They are very friendly and my favorite part was that they are low pressure and will contact you as much or as little as you want. They are low pressure but never late to respond or help.
