The team is worked with where on point. Never had to wait long for a response or issue to be taken care of. The loan went quickly with very little pain. They stayed in contact the whole time and even with a fast loan they did really well tracking and finishing everything
Tiffany Harding our real estate agent was outstanding thanks for making this a smooth process. Still can't believe we are homeowners what a great feeling. Amy Shufelberger and Matt LaTorre from VU made our house buying stress free by letting us know in real time what was needed and explaining the process whenever we had questions. Very knowledgeable group of people that we worked with everyone worked seamlessly together. I am very proud to have served my country and equally proud to have worked with such a great group of people from Veterans United. Thank you all for making my family's American dream come true.

I never had any issues if i needed them they called, if i had questions they awnsered, if i was confused they would explain. Loved dealing with them would 100% recommend
Amazing team and experience through the entire process.
Second time using VU and as usual it didn't disappoint.
I like being able to send documents with the app and review everything going out.
Service was good, I do not agree with the 5k application fee. I was under the impression that the VA loan was to help veterans, not bene them over the barrel adding 5k to their loan. If I had a chance, I would seek another lender and put 5k toward my house, not to a lender who’s intentions are not clear.
Response from Veterans United
Hey Brett,
I really appreciate you sharing this feedback. I can understand how frustrating it must have felt to see the VA funding fee added to your loan amount, especially when the program is meant to help veterans become homeowners. It’s a common point of confusion, and you’re not alone in feeling that way.
The funding fee is actually a charge required by the Department of Veterans Affairs, not by Veterans United. It’s collected by the VA to help keep the benefit available for future generations of service members and veterans. We know it can still be a tough cost to see, and we always want to make sure it’s clearly explained early in the process.
We appreciate your feedback and the chance to improve how we communicate these details. If you’d like to talk through how the VA funding fee applies to your specific loan, my Client Advocate team would be glad to connect. You can reach us at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com.
We’re available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time and will follow up the next business day if you reach out after hours.
It was really simple, just have all your information ready and it’s a snap.
Made the home buying process a lot easier and closing a lot quicker
