Very helpful and understanding of what it was we were expecting to get out of a loan!
The whole team was upfront and assisted me throughout the whole process.
I recommend Veterans United to anyone wanting to purchase a house. I had a great experience with Rusty Burney from beginning to end. It took me over a year to find the perfect house and Rusty kept in touch with me and resubmitted my paperwork to keep me in an active status while I was house shopping. I could not have asked for more or better service. I was pleasantly surprised that my loan is with Veterans United and not sold to another mortgage company. My wife and I are very grateful homeowners thanks to VU!!! YAY!! Thanks, Rusty & Team!!
As a first time home buyer using my VA benifits, Veterans United and their knowlegable associates , made our home buying experience a literal ''dream come true"!

Experience first-hand why 361,923 homeowners give us a perfect score!
The process from financial counseling through closing on the house was fantastic. Cameron Benedict helped get our financial affairs in order to qualify for the loan. Selina Culp and Mike Rahmoeller stayed in contact with us during the loan process to ensure all necessary documents were submitted for successful underwriting. Ashley Turner did wonderful research in getting utilities figured out for the new house.
We had not purchased an existing home in 25 years; our last home was built and there is a big difference. Also, times and rules have changed and I cannot say enough about how the combination of technology and people made us feel as if VU was with use every step of the day. There was give and take across the board and we are so very happy with our new home, which was purchased as our retirement home, we are grateful and thankful. Will recommend you to anyone who asks. We could not be happier at this point. Thank-you.
From the beginning the realtor provided would never answer a call to the closing day paperwork was unfinished and delayed closing and never communicated to the client!
Response from Veterans United
Hi Daniel,
I’m really sorry for the lack of communication and the closing delay you experienced. Not being able to reach the realtor and then having paperwork unfinished on closing day is incredibly frustrating, and you deserved clearer, more timely updates throughout the process.
I appreciate you sharing this and would like the chance to better understand what happened. If you’re open to it, our Client Advocate team can be reached at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time.

A wonderful team over at Veterans United! We felt well taken care of during the entire home buying process. Our loan officer, Bryan, was always available for a call and was extremely knowledgeable! Their website was also extremely efficient and easy to use. Highly recommend!
The process went smoothly and I was kept informed. All areas were explained in detail in turns I under stood.
Veteran United is the way to go. The team I was setup with made the process easy. They worked around my schedule and answer any questions in a timely manner. It did not manner if it was phone, message, or email; they were there quick. Also made sure I got a worthy deal on my property which was no small task. Shout out to Mrs. Stratman, cause after the hard work getting me the property, she contacted me when a lower interest rate was available for me. There I was thinking their job was done after I purchased home, my was I wrong.
From the beginning to the end I had full attentiveness, in my loan process. All of the staff who assisted me at any given time were very professional especially Aaron F., Lisa S. and
Gavin B. What a great team of folks and I’m very grateful to each and every one of you. THANK YOU ALL.
VU is out here making dreams come true! I've been working towards this goal off and on for years. Just when I was starting to doubt myself, I received that text that said I had reached my goal to receive my pre approval! I cried tears of joy that day ♥️
As things got tough, I was essentially told that I made the process difficult.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Demetrio,
I’m really sorry that was your experience. When the process gets difficult, the last thing you should feel is blamed or made to feel like you were the problem. That’s understandably frustrating, and I hate that it came across that way.
Our role is to support and guide veterans through challenges, not add to the stress. I appreciate you sharing this feedback, and I’d welcome the chance to better understand what happened and learn from it. If you’re open to continuing the conversation, our Client Advocate team is available at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time.
Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager
