The only issue I had was the misunderstanding of paying closing cost. I originally wanted to pay a portion of the closing cost with hopes of bringing down the APR from 4% to something lower. Shawn mentioned that I would be able to do that by just having the funds available in my account prior to closing. At the closing date I followed up with this and I was not able to bring the APR down. The papers would have to be drawn up again and the closing date pushed back. I opted to just keep the 4% but I would appreciate it more if there was more clarity, understanding, and trust in our discussions.

I believe ALL individuals who will be in the initial, progress, & final work should be CC'd on every email. This can help save time and offer less hours in front of the computer. VU was extremely helpful in the dynamic particulars of our situation. Mahalo to the VU team for their help. We are veery excited to start the new chapter. Aloha,Moses Family
The process was filled with needless red tape. For example, I was informed that my business (General Excise Tax) license was expired the day I was to be informed of my closing date. Experience would entail that GET dont technically expire. Furthermore, my taxes from 2012 2015 were submitted, showing my GET license was still active. Again needless stress and frustration, just because the processor was being thorough and trying to eliminate any problems that the underwriter may find. In reality, she/they were second guessing a qualified applicant.
